  • How can I make a PDF file out of a Drawing ?

    Quick way.

  1. Open DWG with Etecad DWG Viewer.
  2. Click Print/PDF settings. Define colors and line widths, specify scale or fit to page option, specify page size.
  3. Make view you want with Zoom/View tools.
  4. Click SaveAs button, choose PDF file type.

    Quality way.

  1. With AutoCAD or another CAD software make HPGL/2 Plot file and convert it to PDF with EFM PLT Viewer. For this you have to install any HPGL/2 Print driver. We recommend using HP 750C driver.
  2. Open PLT file with EFM PLT viewer.
  3. Click SaveAs button, choose PDF file type .

 

  • How can I insert my Drawing in a MS Office document ?

   Quick way.

  1. Open DWG with Etecad DWG Viewer.
  2. Click Print/PDF settings. Define colors and line widths, specify scale or fit to page option, specify page size.
  3. Make view you want with Zoom/View tools.
  4. Click SaveAs button, choose WMF file type.
  5. Insert WMF file into MS Office document.

   Quick way.

  1. Open DWG with Etecad DWG Viewer.
  2. Click Print/Convert Settings button. Define colors and line widths, specify scale or fit to page option, specify page size.
  3. On the Raster tab specify: Bit Per Pixel (1 for B/W); Resolution (for TIF we recommend 300 DPI); Width and Height of the output file.
  4. Make view you want with Zoom/View tools.
  5. Click SaveAs button, choose TIF or PNG file type.

    Quality way.

  1. With AutoCAD or another CAD software make HPGL/2 Plot file and convert it to TIF or PNG with EFM PLT Viewer. For this you have to install any HPGL/2 Print driver. We recommend using HP 750C driver.
  2. Open PLT file with EFM PLT viewer.
  3. Click Settings button. Specify: Bit Per Pixel (1 for B/W); Pixel Per Inch (for TIF we recommend 300 DPI);
  4. Click SaveAs button, choose TIF or PNG file type .
  • Can I produce a small catalog (for internal use or for wider distribution) or a file for presentation?

    With the EFM browser open your file directory. Choose File->Report->Print Album menu item. Specify the Album title, number of

    columns of picture grid, selection method and color property.
   You can produce the Adobe PDF file instead of paper printing if you chose File->Report->Export to PDF menu item.

    Open your PLT file directory with EFM browser. Choose "View->Create Thumbnails" from PLT menu item. After finishing, choose "View->Refresh  

    menu" item. From now on you will see the PLT thumbnails each time you visit this directory with EFM browser.

    You can choose a different external file viewer for every file extension.

  1. Choose "External Viewer" from Configuration->Option menu.
  2. Enter the file extension (e.g. DOC) into the "Associate with" edit box.
  3. Enter the program name you want to associate with the file extension given above.
  4. Press the Add button.
